The BEA Open Source Approach

At BEAhub.org, we believe in the power of collaboration, openness, and co-creation. Our approach to developing the Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) framework draws inspiration from the proven success of Linux Foundation, Visa’s global financial exchange network, and the World Economic Forum’s approach to addressing complex economic issues.

The Linux Foundation Approach

Linux Foundation pioneered the concept of open source by creating a collaborative ecosystem where anyone can contribute to the development and improvement of the Linux operating system. They have successfully built a community of developers, users, and corporations that work together in a transparent, shared environment where innovations and improvements are accessible to all. This is the spirit of open source, and it’s a model that we at BEAhub.org have taken to heart.

For the BEA framework, we’re building a similar open-source ecosystem. The framework’s development isn’t dictated by a single organization or a small group of individuals. Instead, it’s driven by a community of professionals, experts, and enthusiasts who work together to refine and improve the framework continuously.

The Visa Model

Visa's creation was a monumental achievement in the world of financial transactions. Dee Hock, the founder of Visa, effectively brought all the banks together to create a global superhighway for finance transactions, creating a system of credit cards that revolutionized the world of finance. This wasn't just a technological feat; it was a powerful example of collaborative co-creation.

Inspired by this, BEAhub.org seeks to bring together businesses, experts, and individuals from across the globe to build a common understanding and framework for Business Enterprise Architecture. Just as Visa created a unified platform for financial transactions, we aim to create a unifying framework for enterprise transformation.

The World Economic Forum Model

The World Economic Forum is known for its multi-stakeholder approach to addressing global economic challenges. They engage leaders from various sectors, including business, academia, civil society, and government, to collaborate and develop sustainable solutions for global issues.

In the same vein, BEAhub.org believes in the power of multi-stakeholder engagement. We are building an inclusive community where different stakeholders
– businesses, professionals, academicians, consultants, and others
can contribute their expertise to the development and application of the BEA framework.
